We welcome you to present your artwork in an informal portfolio setting and tour the Art & Design facilities. Our department offers a competitive Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) track with concentrations in Graphic Design, Photography, Studio Art and Visual Arts Education.
Portfolio Recommendations:
Students may submit a digital or traditional portfolio for scholarship considerations. Construct your portfolio to reflect your interests and skills. We are interested in getting a glimpse of your overall level of skill, ambition, and creativity. Therefore, we are not concerned with the formalities of how your portfolio is presented (i.e. matting, labeling, etc.). All mediums (e.g., 3-D, drawing, painting, photography, sculpture etc.) are acceptable for review.
Digital Format: Digital portfolios can be submitted in the following formats: CD, Jumpdrive or Digital linking system (e.g., DropBox).
Images (up to 3 MB each)
PDF (up to 10 MB each)
You may also submit YouTube, Vimeo or SoundCloud links
Traditional Format: Traditional portfolios can be submitted in drawing, painting, sculpture or a related medium.
Recommendations:
• Organize your work in a manner that best illustrates your skills and abilities.
• Include your most recent artwork. Finished completed pieces, works in progress or sketchbooks are welcome for review.
• Include your name, date, title of work and your social security number on the back of each individual artwork.
• The craftsmanship of your work is as important as the ideas.
Please RSVP to reserve your one-on-one meeting with an art professor to review your artwork. For additional information, please contact, Paul Erschen at perschen@stfrancis.edu and Chester Costello at
