2014-15 High School Art Competition
Description: This exhibition highlights Joliet region high school art students. In addition, students are awarded cash prizes and scholarships into the Art and Design Department
Dates: December 12, 2014 through January 30, 2015
Reception: Saturday, January 17, 2014 noon to 2 p.m.
Times: Tuesday-Friday, 10am-2pm + by appointment

The University of St. Francis Gallery is currently exhibiting the University of St. Francis Art & Design Department Illinois High School Art Competition & Exhibition. The exhibit spans through the University’s gallery and the 3rd and 4th floors of the Art Department and includes over 150 works of art from Illinois high school students. Saturday, January 17th the gallery hosted a public reception for the students and their families and friends.

FIRST PLACE Felicia Soto from Plainfield South High School for Cat, a charcoal drawing.
SECOND PLACE Marguerite Ernst from Joliet Catholic Academy for watercolor, Drac Nuevo.
THIRD PLACE Melissa Moore from Coal City High School for Freckled, colored pencil on paper.
